The ossuary could not be restored until the insurance company’s adjuster examined the ossuary and its packing and gave the okay for the restoration. For ﬁve long days, the museum and the owner tried to persuade the insurance company to send an adjuster to Toronto. Indeed, several adjusters specializing in museum objects lived in Toronto.
