At different times of the year, for instance, some stories may generate higher interest than others. Know what your audience wants to know: Why would anyone want to read, view, or listen to your story? What is the potential benefit they will gain from it? This means evaluating what your audience cares about, thereby increasing the probability they will care about the story you’re telling.

To be a good storyteller in any medium, it could be argued that you need to be a good observer of human behavior.
