Anacanthobatis ori (Wallace 1967) (Fig. 7F) This is a little-known deep slope skate collected from off Bazaruto Island, central Mozambique (Wallace 1967). It was subsequently collected from off Madagascar (Seret 1986a, b) at 1,000– 1,725 m and is currently known from four juvenile specimens including the holotype and paratype. We examined the holotype but did not obtain additional material.
