I have one grandmother still living. Her name is Shirley.
She survived the Great Depression, breast cancer, a brain tumor, and the loss of a husband so wonderful, he puts men to shame even after passing. She is a WWII veteran. She is extremely witty, even in her old age, and she regularly uses words that drive me to a dictionary. She is the great-granddaughter of a Cherokee woman, and a Daughter of the American Revolution. She loves to read, especially crime novels.
