I was introduced to Shannon through my friend Barb, who owns the fabulous Stonehurst Place in Midtown Atlanta. Shannon is such a delightful person, with this fantastic, solid energy, and a HUGE love of storytelling! (She also has a really adorable little daughter!)

Monica is a minister, writer, activist, and scholar, and I was lucky enough to photograph her wedding AND spend a few minutes creating some headshots for her! I met Nicole for headshots at 3:30, but didn’t leave until 6, because we were too busy talking! Getting to meet amazing women like Nicole is one of the reasons I love my job sooooo much!
I’m SUPER-duper happy for one of our favorite couples, Sumon and Tina, as they prepare to start their new life together in Boston! Here are a couple of headshots I made for Sumon and his orthopedic practice…
I recently had the opportunity to photograph concert pianist Robert Henry, who just recorded his first album. Robert and I tossed around several ideas for location, and we wound up shooting at the beautiful Ambient Plus Studio in downtown Atlanta. This daylight studio was exactly what we had visualized, and Steinway came through with delivery of a gorgeous piano for the shoot.
We spent 2 hours creating this first set of photographs; we’ll be taking to the streets next week for Part 2. (I’m just keeping my fingers crossed for some mild weather!)

We photographed Lauren and Mike’s wedding WAY back in 2007. Well, it feels like more than 2 years have passed…! Anyway, Lauren and Mike have been instrumental in referring, oh, at least half of the couples with whom we’ve worked over the past couple of years! Seriously, these two know everyone! The least we could to to thank them for being such huge fans was to take them out for some anniversary photos…
The timing was perfect, too, because Lauren was actually in need of some personal photographs for her business’s website. Mike wasn’t too keen on being over-photographed, so Lauren got a mini fashion shoot of her own and we just dragged Mike in for a few shots.

As it turns out, the day wound up being less about photos and more about having an amazing time with an amazing couple! We’re so grateful for the people we get to meet in the course of our work, and Lauren and Mike are no exception. We knew they were awesome, but spending last Thursday with them was truly the icing on the cake. I think we hung out for… 7 hours? Really!? You guys are the best!
