Portrait Extravaganza, Day 2: Kris + Henrik

I’ll probably screw this up, but let me at least try: Kris works in banking. In particular, she consults with corporations who are suffering from financial difficulties. So it shouldn’t be too difficult to imagine HOW INSANELY BUSY Kris has been the past few months. Just think about it for a few minutes…

Now that you get THAT picture, you can probably imagine how challenging it was for us to schedule any time to meet with Kris (2nd time) and Henrik (1st time) for some face-to-face and what we dubbed a “mini E-Shoot”. But — HOORAY! — Portrait Extravaganza weekend prevailed, and we did, in fact, get our hour+ with Kris and Henrik!

We love these two. They’re very, VERY chic, completely at ease with us and one another, and absolutely in love for the long haul. Henrik is Swedish, so we’re looking forward to a multi-lingual wedding celebration with them in November!

To begin, Kris. She is amazingly beautiful.

We LOVE Henrik’s checkered shirt.  He is so fabulously NOT American.

This is a reflection in a (rather dirty) mirror propped up behind one of the artist’s studios next door.

Counting the days ’til November 14th!

E-Shoot: Tyler + Will

We’re really super-excited to be sharing this time in Tyler and Will’s lives! They got engaged only a few days before meeting with us for the first time, so we feel like we’ve kinda been there from day one. They knew immediately that they wanted engagement photos, and that they wanted them taken in this stunning wide-open pastureland in Duluth where they live. It was an awesome experience for us, and we have a lot of love for these images! There is nothing more inspiring to us than being brought into a couple’s world like this. We had a blast hanging out with them, and we KNOW we’ll have a blast at their wedding in January!

To start, we hopped into a golf cart and Will drove us back into the pastures. (Eventually the bull you see below would corner us in the back pasture, and we had to wait for the cows to move on before we could escape!)

As far from the road as we could get, this wooded area was just a few yards from the Chattahoochee River.

This shot of Dan’s is one of my favorites:

See the teensy cows in the background?

While the cows (and the bulls!) had us trapped in the pasture, we found this fallen tree.  It was a perfect backdrop, and I’m so glad we got stuck back there or we never would have gone looking for a spot like this!

Tyler…

Will…

It really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere…

HUGE thanks to Alissa and Ben, Lauren and Mike, Anna and Trey, and any of our other awesome couples who know Tyler and Will, and who referred us so highly.  We feel very lucky to be their photographers!
