Tina’s Bridal Portraits

Dan and I have been waiting for YEARS for the chance to photograph a traditional Indian wedding ceremony, so we were absolutely ELATED when Tina and Sumon chose us to be their photographers!  And (believe it or not) I was even more excited when Tina said she wanted to do bridal portraits with me!  Getting to photograph such beautiful, colorful clothing was a dream — and it didn’t hurt that Tina is completely gorgeous and a lot of fun!

Tina knew she wanted to use a field for a few photos, so I scouted the area around Atlanta’s St. Regis hotel for something field-like.  Every good photographer knows that construction sites and abandoned lots make the BEST faux fields — and that’s exactly what I found.  A huge lot that will soon be a shopping center served for our “field”.  Would you have guessed that there was heavy machinery just a short distance from us?

Next we drove over to the St. Regis, where Tina and Sumon will get married next month…

The first outfit is what Tina will wear on Friday evening; on Saturday, the day of the ceremony, she will wear this next outfit.  I LOVE the deep red!

Tina, we can’t wait to see you and Sumon in just a few short weeks!

Bridals + Aftershoot: Tyler + Will

Nine months after Tyler and Will’s wedding, I was SO excited to photograph them all dressed up again in their wedding clothes! It was a chilly October day, but they were troopers — and since their wedding had taken place in January, I figured they were the perfect couple to brave the cold!

I have to send a HUGE shout-out to the amazingly talented hair and makeup artist Cayla Roberts, who created a phenomenal updo for Tyler AND gave me some of the most stunning makeup I’ve ever been privileged to photograph. THANK YOU, CAYLA! You can also find Cayla at Atlanta’s Bob Steele Salon.

Check out this hair.  LOVE. IT.  I picked up these flowers at Whole Foods the morning of the shoot, and Cayla knew exactly what to do with them!

Tyler and Will, you two are such beautiful and wonderful people! Thank you so much for letting me photograph you — again! :)
